BP's Everest 42 coverage calculation takes into account BP's published shingle's per bundle of "18 and 20: in sequence of 5 x 18 and 3 x 20". This configuration provides a nominal 294 sq. ft. of coverage per nine (9) bundles - requiring three (3) additional shingles to cover three (3) squares (300 sq. ft.)

This calculation averages out to the installer being shorted one (1) missing shingle per square.
